4. Use Video During Virtual Meetings

 If at all possible, use video in virtual meetings. 

 We need to create “Presence” as presence promotes inclusion.  

We want attendees to be actively engaged. Video increases the chances of that happening and serves to decrease multi-tasking.  Yes, it can increase fatigue, but I would rather handle meeting fatigue differently – namely by shrinking meeting sizes, shrinking meeting times, and making meetings truly work. 

As an aside, another good way to handle fatigue is to build in meeting free breaks into your calendar and be sure to stretch and move around between meetings. 

Also, try a standing meeting. And, added bonus, this just in, new options on zoom and other packages allow us turn off self-view. This is so helpful as looking at ourselves, which is what we do, appears to be quite mentally taxing.
